Coming Soon

The first-ever Home Field Day. A full community festival with a first pitch ceremony on the new Little League fields, food truck rally, live music at the pavilion, a fun run on the walking path, and free t-shirts for the first 500 families. If you went to school here, walk the halls one more time — we'll have before-and-after displays in the old buildings. Mayor Venable throws the ceremonial first pitch on Fields 1 and 2. COMMON GROUND

Nearly a century of history. A community that refused to let go. Here's how we got here.

1930s

Blountville High Opens

The campus dates back to the 1930s when the high school first opened. For nearly a century, this 25-acre campus was the center of everything.

2021

Schools Close

When the doors closed, the community made one thing clear: this ground is ours and we're not letting it go.

2022

County Purchases Campus

Sullivan County purchases the 25-acre campus for $637,500. The transformation begins.

2024

$8M+ Invested

County offices move into the renovated elementary school. Cafeteria becomes a community center. Infrastructure rebuilt.

2025

Phase I Opens

Two brand-new Little League fields open in December. The first phase of the Home Field Athletic Park, built by J.A. Street & Associates.

2026

Grand Opening

Home Field Day. The full campus opens to the public. First pitch, food trucks, live music. The day Blountville's been waiting for.
